In the early 1890’s this area served as the hub of the local farming community. When the Central Pacific Railroad came to the Diablo Valley in 1891, things really began to move. November 7, 1961 the area became incorporated as Pleasant Hill. now boasts a population of 33,000+ residents in its eight square mile area. It has a recently developed downtown shopping and business center. Pleasant Hill also has its own BART terminal, John F. Kennedy University, complete with law school and is a part of the Mount Diablo Unified School District, which is very highly ranked statewide.
This lovely bedroom community with everything from apartments and condominiums to gorgeous executive homes, estates and ranches has rural roots and hillside homes. And it features Mount Diablo views and warm, dry climate, with temperatures ranging from the 30’s in winter to high 80’s in the summer. This is truly a pleasant place to live.
