I have been living in the East Bay for 50 years since moving here from Brooklyn, New York, where I was born and raised. I originally moved here to attend graduate school but dropped out of the Saint Mary’s MBA program after one year, deciding I was ready to start a business, not learn about business. I started a real estate brokerage in Berkeley when I was 25 years old and sold it 25 years later. My 40th wedding anniversary is coming up in July. I met my husband (now a retired community college history professor) at a dinner party in Berkeley. We discovered that we had grown up right across the river from each other, John is from Northern New Jersey, right across the Hudson from the Empire State Building. We have 1 son, Dylan, who is married and lives with his wife, Barbie, in a home they purchased in North Oakland.

I have been living in Walnut Creek for 26 years. I just sold my Tice Valley Oaks house and am currently renting in Rossmoor. Since moving to Walnut Creek in 1998 I became very active in the Walnut Creek Community. I was the Walnut Creek Arts Commissioner for 6 years, and also a founding member and Board Member of the Walnut Creek Civic Arts Education Association and a founding member of Walnut Creek Citizen Service Day. I am a graduate of Contra Costa Leadership and the Walnut Creek Citizens Institute. Since I left Redfin last year after 10 years as an agent, (and selling over 300 homes), and then as their East Bay Manager, I have been spending time walking my 10-year-old Miniature Poodle, Maisie, revising and updating my published novel, and working remotely as a real estate coach for Tribus Real Estate Technology services, providing real estate coaching to both agents and managers from brokerages throughout the country. As a long time Tice Valley resident, I am thrilled to join Rossmoor Realty.
